Me & Makeup: 20 Beauty Questions Tag
I came across a post in which isortofbeauty asked other to answer 20 beauty questions. It also just so happens that I’ve always been a fan of those self-report type surveys for blogs and message boards, so, let’s get this party started…
Do you remember your first makeup item? First ever, not a clue, how many years ago was that? I’m sure though that it was some kind of lip gloss being the 90’s.
Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?I’ve never found a perfect one. I think the best one I’ve come across for me is Too Faced Better Than Sex. I don’t really need length – separation and bulking are key for me – never any falsies over here…Better Than Sex simply doesn’t clump on me…ever. I also like Julep’s Go Big!
What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation? I like medium, I need full – still haven’t found one that really covers and evens me out. I’d hate to have to go to thick full like Dermablend, but I might eventually.
Favorite high end brand? I truthfully don’t have a favorite high end at all. 🙂
What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven’t? Urban Decay, Makeup Forever, Kat VonD, Benefit (I’ve only used PoreFessional)…oh goodness I don’t know – so many!
Favorite drugstore brand? Revlon, for the ColorStay foundation.
Do you wear fake eyelashes? No, never, mine are way too long as is and I imagine that I’d like absolutely insane. lol.
Is there any kind of makeup you can’t leave the house without? If I’m just going to the store or something I’ll go completely bare, but if I’m going out for anything else I usually do full-face – however lip gloss and waterline eyeliner are my favorites.
What is your most cherished beauty product? Ohhh…hmmm…I guess all my concealers for my TERRIBLE underage bags and circles.
How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once? Constantly, lets not talk about that…lol!
Do you have a “beauty budget” or you spend freely? Sadly, I don’t have an anything budget which isn’t too good. I’m not a good financial role model. 😀
What type of product do you buy the most of? Eyeliners, lip glosses and NAIL POLISH!!!
Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates? I try to stick to things that are marked free of such ingredients.
Do you have a favorite place to shop for makeup? Sephora, Ulta, Julep, online, everywhere.
Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine? Same routine but I’ll switch out the brand – currently doing a lot of Julep’s line.
Favorite bath and body brand? Bath & Body Works, Julep.
Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains? I don’t use them, no.
Are you clumsy in putting makeup? Terrible, still terrible with eyeliner and shadow. lol.
Do you ever consider taking makeup classes? I NEED TO. Help me I need to take a break from YouTube videos and trying so many times my face is raw. At least I don’t have to wonder why my skin is so dry.
What do you love about makeup? I just feel more confidant. We all have imperfections and makeup allows us to fix them to our liking AND express ourselves through style and color. It’s just a win/win. I also enjoy the collecting aspect, it’s a hobby folks!
